Yoko Meshi

"Japanese; literally ‘a meal eaten sideways,’ referring to the peculiar stress induced by speaking a foreign language." This is especially prevalent while traveling, which is something I experience quite often.

While English is the third most spoken language across the world, there are still some emotions that we cannot express within a single word. 

This series of 18 "x 24" posters highlights words that do no exist in English for feelings that exist across humanity. These posters were designed around each word by collaging corresponding objects from my personal life and travels to help illustrate the definition or emotion.
