Vermont - Waterbury

August 2016

While we hiked and explored the woods and the reservoir every day, we also ventured into the nearby towns and drank plenty of beer.

The Waterbury Dam was finished in 1938 by over 2,000 men working for the Army Corps of Engineers. It was created to control to flow of Little and Winooski rivers, which had flooded in 1927, killing fifty-five people.
